What started with $750 in our first year has grown to nearly $3,500 last year—all thanks to generous people like you!
Founded 12 years ago by dedicated City of Toledo employees, the Joys of Toys is a charity committed to improving the lives of children in foster care.
We raise funds through business donations and raffle ticket sales. Although our first year generated only $750, we have significantly grown over the years, raising nearly $3,500 last year. Our goal is to exceed the previous year's total each year.
With approximately 1,000 children in foster care in Lucas County and only 200 foster homes, we aim to bring joy to as many of these children as possible during the holidays. Every child deserves a new toy on this special day.
We need your support to continue our mission for Lucas County's foster children. Here's how you can help:
- Donate items for our raffles.
- Contribute monetary donations.
- Provide new toys and clothing for children and teenagers.
- Assist us in promoting our raffle through posters.
(Which all proceeds go directly for the toys for foster children) - Encourage your employees to purchase raffle tickets or host a toy drive.
